The Magic of Language
In this chapter we will study how flexible language can be. Even though the basic building blocks of language are of four basic types, at a moment’s notice, many language pieces can change from one type to another. This capability allows verbs to be used as nouns, predicates as adjectives or adverbs and adjectives as verbs. This magic “quick-change” ability is in the realm of “abracadabra” and “alacazam!”
